Other important information

Age restriction
No persons under the age of 18 will be allowed into Splashy Fen unless they’re accompanied by an adult.  An over-18 age restriction will apply to persons entering any area where alcohol is served.  Anyone found supplying alcohol to a minor will be asked to leave the festival.

Children’s Centre
Children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.  Alternatively, let them join in the fun at the Children’s Entertainment Centre, situated in the heart of Splashy Fen.

Filming, recording and photography
Standard still cameras are permitted but no tape recorders, video cameras or professional photography equipment will be allowed in the festival without official accreditation.  Festival-goers consent to filming, photographing and sound recording as members of the audience.

Fires
We know that fires are essential to cook food and keep you warm but please don’t leave them unattended, as there is a real danger of runaway fire.  If you see any unattended campfires, please put them out, and don’t throw cigarette butts in the grass.

Refuse collection & bins
Please make use of the black refuse bags given to you at the gate and place full bags on the side of the road for collection in the mornings.  Replacements are available at the Info Tent.  There are also bins dotted around the festival site for your convenience.

Hiking
Feel free to walk around the farm, but please respect the No Entry signs leading to private areas.  Do not cross the game fences or damage them in any way – they are there for security purposes and to keep trespassers out.  And please don’t wander onto other properties, as the owners might not welcome the intrusion into their homes.

No car boot music, vuvuzelas or sirens, please!
We are here to enjoy LIVE music, so please switch off all car or portable sound systems.  Be courteous and considerate to other festival-goers and don’t forget the 2am noise curfew.

Road safety
Please don’t ride motorcycles or quad bikes in the festival site.  Not only is it potentially dangerous but the noise may be offensive to other festival-goers or interfere with the music.  When entering or leaving Splashy Fen, please keep your speed down and watch out for people crossing the roads.

Snakes
The ground is uneven in places, so please take care when walking – and remember to keep a look out for snakes and to check carefully before you sit on or near rocks.

Swimming & bathing
There are fish in the river and they don’t appreciate soap, even if it’s biodegradable!  The water is shallow in places, so diving is not advisable.  Feel free to swim in the dams, but again, no soap please!

Take care of your property
While every effort is made to safeguard festival-goers and their property, it’s advisable to lock your possessions in your vehicle when you’re away from your campsite.  This includes gas cookers, sleeping bags, food, clothes, cameras etc.  Any incidents of theft should immediately be reported to security.

Zero tolerance
No firearms, weapons, illegal substances, violent, offensive or dangerous behaviour will be tolerated at Splashy Fen and offenders will be dealt with by the necessary authorities.  Bags, car boots and other items may be subject to a full search upon entry and throughout the event to ensure the safety of festival-goers.
