10. HARRY WASHBURN, DON’T LITTER
(0’21”)

(1995)

The late Harry Washburn was a folk singing, guitar strumming story teller & surfer from Australia who made Durban his home for a while. He managed the first hard-rock band booked at Splashy, Dog Day Afternoon, & ran a music club while posing as a part-time waiter to keep the club going & to buy the band’s gear. He took DDA to London in 1996. He was a dynamic mover & shaker for the downtrodden musician & his small, but significant contribution to Splashy will be sorely missed.
