Edwards / Gnodde / Birns / McAlpine, (Trad), Desk Mix,
DM, Amphitheatre 1991, Audiocassette.
What would a Music festival in the Mountains of the Old Colony be without an Irish Folk group? The WSB was certainly one of the finest British Folk Groups in Africa for a number of years. Martin Edwards (Banjo, Whistle & Bass), Ian McAlpine (Mandolin & Violin), John Gnodde (Bass, Guitar, Penny Whistle & Mouth Organ) & Rael Birns (Guitar). All members sang & harmonized. This song opened the Amphitheatre one magnificent mountain morning before anybody had even got out of their tents. Martin does the main vocal story on this traditional Irish tune. |
