Friday 26 April Saturday 27 April A "Circus Bounce World" is on hand with someone to supervise play to prevent younger children and any other children being hurt while on the equipment. We are restricting the age limit to 3 to 12 years old to prevent injuries. The Oceanview Montessori School from Durban North will again run an "Arts and Crafts" centre housed in a large marquee to provide ample space - and much needed shade - for all children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old. The ladies staffing the centre are all trained at Oceanview unde the expert tutelage of Lucy Watson and Rose Lowry. The children will be taught how to create works of art using recycled articles, a face painter will be on hand to transform them into wierd and wonderful beings, and the staff will generally keep them entertained while moms and dads take a well deserved rest. There will be a display and brochures on Montessori available for parents and any one interested to read and take away with them. Please ensure that your children are left with juice and a snack. The Centre is not intended to be an all day babysitting facility for children, but rather as somewhere for children to go when they are not interested in tagging along with mum and dad. An indemnity form will need to be completed with contact details in case of emergency. The centre and jumping castle will be available from 10:00 to 16:00 on Friday and Saturday. Neil Coppen and Kasia Stempowski perform "Marvellous Mixtures" show. There is a giant, twelve story Granny on the loose!! And she is heading for SPLASHY!!!!!! The Coffee Stain Theatre Co is proud to present an explosive new piece of Imaginative Theatre. Loosely inspired by a popular Roald Dahl story Director, Performer and Writer Neil Coppen has created a visual fireworks display, employing a vast range of masks, mime and puppetry. We follow the adventures of Mathew Pampoenip, a lonely boy abandoned on a Karoo farm. Mathew has to look after his nasty granny, Ouma Lemoenlippe, whilst his parents are out. She has an array of disgusting habits, which includes gobbling up slugs!! The magic and mayhem all begin when young Mathew decides to mix up his own magic brew to cure his Grannies nastiness, resulting in a hilarious string of events. Neil Coppen and Kasia Stempowski bring the zany array of characters to life, from the neurotic chickens and farmyard animals to Mathews 100 foot grunion of a granny. The magical stage effects will awe children and adults alike. Venues for this show should preferably allow space for the granny to grow several meters before the audiences very eyes. The show is a delightful and colorful introduction to the Magic of Theatre. It lasts just over an hour and will appeal to youngsters and the young at heart |
