No need for auditions or demo CDs; if you can hold a couple of songs together, preferably originals, book a slot at the free stage. Registration starts at 9 and, to be fair, most slots will only be booked on the day.

Running from 10.00 until 18.00 on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and on Sunday 27th April, this leaves plenty of opportunity for all the hidden talent at Splashy Fen to come out of the shadows and grab their moment in the spotlight. Expect excitement, surprises and never a dull moment.

Not only are solo artists encouraged to step forward, but this year a backline will also be provided for all the bands out there who want to get their music heard. The best two free stage acts on each day will win a slot on the Carling Black Label outdoor stage on Sunday evening - this could be their big break!

For those Jimmy Hendrix 'wanna-be's', an air guitar competition will be held with on Friday, Saturday, with the finals on Sunday and everyone is welcome to enter. Prizes for the most entertaining guitar playing imitation are up for grabs compliments of Coca Cola and EMI.

Remember, you're never too old, or too young to step on the free stage!
