Memories of the highly successful Splashy Fen Music Festival 2004 have barely had time to fade, and organisers are up and running with initial preparations for the "even bigger and better" Easter weekend extravaganza from 24-28 March 2005.

Attendance figures for Splashy Fen 04 show that 9 000 music fans, adventure enthusiasts, culture vultures and lovers of the great outdoors passed through its gates, bringing significant rewards to all commercial ventures involved - and the local Underberg communities. Visionary entrepreneurs would be well advised to begin thinking now of the wealth of opportunities lying in wait at 'Version 2005' of South Africa's best-loved open-air gathering. Looking Ahead
Sponsors have since the inception of Splashy Fen enjoyed high-profile and much sought-after exposure: organisers of Splashy Fen 05 are keen to add to sponsor numbers, and will thus tailor 'Sponsorship Packages' to suit varying needs. All are confident that the arrangements on offer will lead to worthwhile levels of marketing for any product targeted at the 'Splashy Crowd'.

The growing emphasis on 'Outdoors Adventure' - from 4x4 trails to hot-air balloon and horse rides - has proved enormously popular, and these added exploits have contributed in no small part to Splashy's resurgence in status. Pre-festival promotion drives by this 'sector' will no doubt prove beneficial indeed.

The well-patronised Arts 'n' Crafts and Food Stalls are integral - what better time than now to conjure up fresh ideas and convey them to us?

The Entertainers
Similarly, crowd-pleasing mime-artists and clowns should begin fine-tuning their moves - being featured at Splashy Fen is a sure career-enhancer. Anyone able to hold the attention of an audience of children is particularly in demand.

And needless to say, perhaps, for our musicians who represent the vast array of genres and styles aired on the Splashy stages - "Get those chops down now!"
