For those wishing to try something different at Splashy Fen this year, the UKZN Underwater Club will be offering festival-goers an opportunity to try their hand at scuba diving in the deep river pools. Hosted in the Eco Village site, at the lower end of Splashy Fen, this is a great way to experience something new – and it’s free! All masks and equipment will be provided, with qualified staff on hand to show you the ropes.
Another exciting addition to the Eco Village line-up is the inclusion of Sandy Campbell, one of Durban’s best-loved yoga instructors, who will be taking early-risers through their paces. Surrounded by glorious scenery, Splashy Fen must be one of the best settings in which to enjoy a good early-morning stretch.

Staff from the Corner Café and the Green Depot in Durban get ready for their new Eco Village venture at Splashy Fen 2010. And if you’re wondering about the potjie pot, we have it on good authority that the Corner Café’s veg and lamb potjie dishes are not to be missed! Mind you, neither are their breakfast pitas and fabulous coffee! Most of the ingredients used by the Corner Café will be organic and farmed within a 100km radius of the festival site. In addition, all the cups, bowls and eating utensils used in the Eco Village will be bio-degradable, completely breaking down in just 21 days.
