Everything is set for this Easter long-weekend's Splashy Fen Music Festival, and organisers are confident that the country's best-loved get-together will yet again live up to it's billing as 'The Ultimate Outdoors Experience'.
The 'something-for-everyone' music roster has been finalised: Watershed, 340ml, The Narrow and Prime Circle are perhaps the best-known attractions for 'alternative' fans, while Dan Patlansky, Syd Kitchen and this year's showcase artist - Richard Walne & The Burlesque Supergroup - are guaranteed pleasers for the 'veteran' crowd.
Good news for DIY skin-thumpers: The Drum Cafe is bringing 300 pieces, and will be based in its own marquee. There are no doubt also countless Air Guitar and Wannabe-Stars frantically preparing to make complete laughing-stocks of themselves while in pursuit of the Grand Prize. Never a dull moment at Splashy!
The Rainbow Village of complementary healers, soothsayers and their ilk will once again have a tepee-skyline, plus the Arts & Crafts Market promises to offer the widest and most appealing array ever of authentic, ethnic-based creations.
For the little ones there is a Menagerie of cute and cuddly creatures, along with an entire spectrum of entertainment, from pony rides to magicians and face-painting to drum sessions.
Bigger boys can play with bigger toys on the 4 x 4 Trail and other venues for the Iron Men/Adventure Sports set, plus helicopters, paintball, camels and all the 'must-see, must-do' draw-cards of the Southern Berg's World Heritage Site.
No need to arrive at Splashy Fen weighed down with tins of bangers 'n' beans and such - the Food Stalls have a well-earned reputation, and this year several new taste treats will ensure varied and mouth-watering mealtimes to keep you fuelled up for all the excitement on offer.
Easter long-weekend at the Splashy Fen Music Festival - there's nothing else in South Africa quite like it!
