Celebrating freedom of the heart and mind

The Freestyle Tribal Village is a joint venture between the festival organisers and two long-time Splashy Fenners, James Liebenberg and Pat Cunningham, both of whom have become familiar faces at Splashy over the years.

Situated in a separate tree-shaded area, the village is home to creators of authentic, original handicrafts, as well as live music and activities like fire poi and interactive drumming around a central fire pit.

Visitors can look forward to a magical journey through a village of colourful tipis, where they’ll be invited to open their minds to alternative beliefs and lifestyles, or to interact with other like-minded people.

Say James and Pat: “We have dreaded our hair, yet we are not rasta. Our bodies are tattooed, yet we are not freaks. We are loving and peaceful, yet we are warriors within. We are industrious and inquiring of mind. We are freestyle. This will be a tribal event to be spoken about for many moons to come.
